Disclosure of others’ faults or secrets shows a mindless callousness which breeds nothing but ill-will.

More often than not, a person’s ego lies dormant. It is better to leave it sleeping, for the ego can be like a snake, which, when aroused, will harm all within its reach.

By forgiving someone for his ill treatment, one awakens in him a sense of shame. Whereas by returning evil for evil, a reaction of revenge and retaliation is produced.

Generally people just take matters at their face value and rush into them without thinking. A person should study matters carefully from every angle before deciding on a course of action.
