It is the conscience which makes man feel repentant, soon after he makes a mistake. Man should admit his mistake instantly so that his conscience stays alive. Otherwise, his sense of repentance would gradually begin to diminish until it fades away.
When a person provokes us and we grow angry, we release a great amount of energy. We then can either channelize this energy towards the positive or the negative. On directing it towards the negative, we will develop feelings of revenge and hatred. But, if we direct it towards the positive, we will grow intellectually.
If a matter goes against us, we tend to play it down, and if it is in our interest, we make too much of it. This is insincerity. One must think as it is and speak as it is.
We must differentiate between the necessary and the unnecessary. We must never amass such commodities as will bring with them new problems and new complications. We must learn to live in contentment.
