The first words of the Quran describe God as most compassionate and most merciful. (1:1). Now, why will such a merciful God place us in difficulties in this world without any reason? For an answer to this question, we must understand God's creation plan for us. A human being's brain has unlimited potential. A scientist has said that the number of particles in an individual brain is nearly equal to the number of particles in the entire universe. This is the enormous potential of the brain. However, this potential lies in a dormant state. Adversities and difficulties of our life help in activating this hidden potential of the brain.
