The Prophet once said: “There is no better and superior present that a father can give to his children than cultivation of good morals.” Parents have immense love for their children and desire to give them the best of what they have. Prophet's above saying tells us that the best that parents can give to their children is good moral training. Generally people think that the best that they can give to their children when they leave the world is money or property or some such material thing. However, these things hold no value in religion. What is of greatest religious importance is good training. That is, children should know how to lead their lives in this world, they must know how to differentiate between right and wrong and lead their lives in a way that they find God's blessings both in this world and the Hereafter. This is the most exalted gift that a parent can give to his or her child.
