I have recently written an article on marefat. Marefat means realization or discovery of God. The verses of the Quran and sayings of the Prophet are filled with marefat, but nobody has written any significant book on marefat. Generally, people write on stories and legends. This is due to a lack of thinking. When there is no thinking, there is no discovery. Everything depends on how much one reflects and contemplates. Without thinking, there is no finding and no realization of God. People lack the art of thinking. This is a very serious matter. The Quran says that God has created man so that he discovers God. Man was given a mind. God's planning was for man to discover things on his own. An intellectual discovery gives one the greatest joy and happiness.
