No nation can ever hold up its head, far less take pride of place amongst the nations of the world, if the individuals of which it is comprised think of nothing but personal gain and self glorification.
Man should live in the world in the way that the flowers do – giving off a sweet fragrance even to those who give nothing but abuse and remaining unruffled even in the face of violent attack.
Peace can be attained only by accepting two simple precepts. Make all efforts to change what we can, and learn to live with the things which we cannot change.
The choice for us is not between a universe with God, or a universe without God. It is rather between a universe with God, or no universe at all.
A strong man is not one who overwhelms his opponent. A strong man is one who controls himself when he becomes angry.
One can always overcome one’s misfortunes and be the gainer once again, provided one remains patient and perseveres in one’s struggles, never losing hope of God’s succour.
Peace is the outcome of co-existence. And peaceful co-existence is the only way of existence on this planet. Either we co-exist or cease to exist. There is simply no other option
What applies to the tree applies equally to individual human lives. If their structure is to be solid and long lasting, the course of patience and hard work must be adhered to.
Awaken human nature in others. Let the animal nature remain dormant. This is the only certain formula for a harmonious social existence.
