In the morning when the sun had just risen, I was sitting in my balcony and thinking. I was able to understand a hadith for the first time. The Prophet said that in the morning time God comes close to the earth and says: "Is there anyone who has something to ask for, so that I can grant him what he has asked for?" This hadith was earlier a mystery for me. I realized what one should ask God for. When I saw the sun shining brightly, I prayed: 'O God, You have given me Your blessings in this world. I hope that You will shower Your blessings on me in the Hereafter as well.' Asking God for something does mean to ask for material things. Recently, a new star has been discovered which is 1300 hundred times larger than the Sun. I realized that if God had placed this star in the solar system where the Sun is located, we would have died of the great heat. The placement of the Sun in the solar system is so crucial that had there been any other star larger or smaller than the Sun, we would have not been alive. The positioning of the Sun in the solar system is very meaningful. For me this was a mind-boggling realization and it helped me discover the blessing and mercy of God. This also helped me understand v. 56:75 in the Quran which speaks about the placement of stars in the sky as being a sign of God's glory and majesty.
