God did not give the Prophet any miracle, instead He gave him the Quran. This is because God knew that a time would come when the world will witness a peaceful revolution. Today democracy, freedom of expression, end of religious persecution and establishment of the UN -- all are parts of a peaceful process. Now everywhere people are talking of the importance of peace. Therefore, there is no need at all for fighting today. Those Muslims who are perpetrating violence today are going against the scheme of Islam. They have not abandoned violence because of their obsession with a wrong model, which is the political model. Even in present times they think that unless they capture the politicalseat, they won't be able to gain anything. But God has already brought about an end to the age where politicalauthority was important. Now we are living in an age in which ideology or ideas are powerful. This revolution was brought about by God -- it does not matter who occupies the political seat because we are living in an age of democracy. Secular democracy has made the contribution of separating political administration from other fields. For example, the fields of education, social reform, dawah and other constructive work are totally free of political rule. Even if those who havepolitical authority change and others take their place, it would not affect work in other fields. Because politicalrulers only control the field of administration of the country and not the innumerable other fields, which are open to all. There are no obstacles for work in these fields.
