The Quran says: "Do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire touch you." (11:113) The word 'rukun' used in this verse means to incline or tilt toward something. That is, to deviate from the straight path. The Prophet is being told to not be distracted from the straight path. This verse is also applicable to the common phenomenon of not focusing on one point and becoming distracted here and there. In previous ages when there were less distractions, many big scientists and thinkers were born. That was an age in which there were no distractions in the form of mobile phones, etc. All scientists had focused thinking, that is, to think by focusing on one point. Newton, regarded as the founder of modern science, was called a woolgatherer when he was a child. That is, one who spoke less and remained lost in thought. Later, it was discovered that Newton had the ability to concentrate on a single point. He once said about himself: 'I have no special sagacity, only the power of patient thought.' Super-achievers do not allow their minds to be distracted by trivial issues. The life given to us is a super opportunity which we will not get a second time. People do not realize this fact, which is why they waste their energy and resources. One must first discover oneself. This is the beginning of doing anything great. Then one must save oneself from all distractions and remain focused on achieving one's goal.
