Where there is peace, there is spirituality, and where there is spirituality there is peace. Both are interconnected.

Unlike other beings, we are conscious of the past, the present and the future. We cherish a very pleasant consciousness of the future, aspirations of a better life, or of the fulfillment of our dreams. Our lives centre on our constant efforts to improve our future. But this perfect future does not seem to ever materialise. This is a part of God’s creation plan.

The March 2011 Tōhoku earthquake was the most powerful known earthquake ever to have hit Japan, and one of the five most powerful in the world since 1900. The earthquake triggered a tsunami whose waves reached heights of 133 feet and travelled 10 kilometres inland. The tsunami then caused a nuclear meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Losses were estimated at $200 billion.
