Islam respects all women

By Maulana Wahiduddin | The Economic Times | December 11, 2016

Islam gives equal status to women as that of men. The Quran says, “You are members, one of another” (3:195). This means that there is no difference between the two as regards status, rights and blessings both in this world and in the Hereafter.

A Hadith says, men and women are two equal halves of a single unit (Al Tirmizi).

Patience is a source of certainty

Islam gives great importance to patience. It holds out the promise of immense reward for those who practise patience. Thus, the Quran (39:10) says: “Truly, those who persevere patiently will be requited without measure.” Elsewhere, the Quran (76:12) says: “[…] and their reward for being patient will be a Garden and silk [clothing].”
