Every age follows its own set of myths

In ancient times, the whole system of life was riddled with superstitious beliefs. Many strange, unfounded ideas were generally in vogue. Nicolson, in his Astronomy (1978) has recorded an interesting historical curiosity: “When an eclipse occurred, the Chinese thought that the Sun was swallowed by a huge dragon. The whole population joined in making as much noise as possible to scare it away. They always succeeded!”

One must always be open to change

In one of nature’s greatest laboratories – the sun – atomic reaction converts into light. The humble cow – a living laboratory – converts grass into milk. The very trees are nature’s laboratories, taking in water, minerals and gases and converting them into flowers and fruits.

Great Obstacle lies before great goals

William Blake once said: "Great things are done when men and mountains meet. This is not done by jostling in the street," This is quite true. It is a fact that to achieve some great goal, great acts are needed. It is only after scaling the heights of a mountain that one reaches the top. Just raising slogans or making speeches at big gatherings does not result in great work being accomplished.
