SUCCESS THROUGH HARD WORK

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan | Soulveda

Joseph Conrad, born in 1857 in the Polish town of Berdiczew, was orphaned in infancy, and since he had neither formal education nor the backing of relatives, he had to support himself by working as a seaman. He travelled to various countries, at last reaching England in 1886, where he became a British citizen.

FROM AFFLUENCE TO ASHES

Ghanshyam Das Birla (1894-1983) was the greatest industrial magnate of modern India. He led an extremely principled life, which was the secret of his success. Starting his career with paltry resources at the age of twelve, he reached such a height of success that his family now has wider commercial interests than any other single-family in India.

WHAT IS SPIRITUALITY?

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan | Soulveda

Man has two facets to his personality—body, and soul—both of which need sustenance for their health and progress. Material things such as food and water sustain the body. If one is deprived of such sustenance over a long period of time, he or she will be starved to death. The same is true for the soul. I believe that spirituality is man’s spiritual food for the soul. Spirituality boosts man’s inner personality on positive lines. This guarantees man’s spiritual life.
