Leading A Spiritual Life

The book Leading a Spiritual Life aims at developing a spiritual bent of mind in its reader. The author, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan believes that to attain spirituality one does not need to retire to the jungles, rather one must live in the midst of all the activities of the world and develop the ability to convert material events into non-material or spiritual events. According to the author, “If you want to live as a spiritual person, learn the art of extraction. That is, you have to be able to extract spiritual content from material things.

The Political Interpretation of Islam

The present book The Political Interpretation of Islam is a summary of the book Taʿbir ki Ghalati (‘Error of Interpretation’). Here, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan has briefly explained that the writings of Maulana Abul Ala Maududi (d. 1979), the founder of the Jamaat-e-Islami and proponent of a distinctly political interpretation of Islam, are problematic, and continue to be the cause of much strife and conflict across the world. The author has attempted to place the concepts of Islam in their right perspective.

Quranic Wisdom

In the book, Quranic Wisdom, the author Maulana Wahiduddin Khan explains that if you read the Quran, you will find that it gives wisdom on all of the subjects relating to human beings. But the basic theme of the Quran is the creation plan of God. God Almighty created the universe, and, it is God Almighty who revealed this book that is called Al-Quran. The primary purpose of the Quran is to reveal that divine plan according to which the world was created and people were settled in it.

The Age of Peace

The purpose of the book, The Age of Peace is to re-engineer the minds of those who think in terms of violence. According to its author, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, the book has a twofold target: first to help those who are engaged in violence realise that the present age is an age of peace. The changes brought about over several hundred years have ushered in an age in which one can attain through completely peaceful means what one could have achieved earlier only through war and confrontation.
