Individual Efforts Bring In Reforms

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan I The Sunday Guardian I  September 28, 2014

Gustave Le Bon (7 May 1841-13 December 1931) was a French social psychologist. He is best known for his 1895 work The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind. In this book he has referred to a historical law in these words: "Civilisations as yet have only been created and directed by a small intellectual aristocracy, never by crowds. Crowds are only powerful for destruction. Their rule is always tantamount to a barbarian phase."

Man Is The Missing Link Of Universe

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan I The Sunday Guardian I September 21, 2014

O God Almighty created the universe. In its vast space there are stars, galaxies, planets, the solar system, countless other particles and so on.

All these items of creation have adopted a culture of worship, which is total surrender to God, without the slightest deviation. It is this surrender to God that makes our universe a zero-defect universe. This fact is mentioned in the Quran in these words:

Convert anger into positivity

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan I The Sunday Guardian I September 14, 2014

Once a believer visited the Prophet of Islam and asked him a unique question. He said: "O Prophet, give me a master advice by which I may be able to manage all the affairs of my life."
The Prophet simply replied: "Don't be angry." It means: "Don't be angry even when provoked." Now there is a question. If someone keeps himself from being victim of anger, then how can this habit become a master formula for his life?

Respect all, create social harmony

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan I The Sunday Guardian I September 07, 2014

Social harmony is our greatest need. Social harmony brings about normalcy among different groups of people. It is normalcy that is helpful for fostering all kinds of healthy activities in society. The opposite of social harmony is social conflict, and social conflict leads to all kinds of negativities such as hate, intolerance, violence and sometimes even war.
