Why we need to embrace all: A lesson in Islam

Imam is a religious term which means one who leads the five-time daily prayer in the mosque. The concept of imam among Shia Muslims and Sunni Muslims is different. The Shia religious leaders represent the entire community. These leaders are non-political, but are unanimously accepted by the whole community. But this tradition is not followed by Sunni Muslims. This is the reason why there is no leader who is unanimously accepted by the Sunni Muslims.

The chapter number five of the Quran relates the story of two brothers. Adam was the first man settled on Earth. He had two sons: Cain and Abel. Due to some reason there arose a controversy between the brothers. After a heated exchange, Cain killed Abel. This was the first murder in the human history. Narrating this story the Quran says:

Muslims across South Asia joined the global condemnation of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria ( ISIS ) after it tried to justify its sexual enslavement of captured Yazidi women and girls.
An October 12th article in the ISIS propaganda magazine Dabiq entitled "The revival of slavery before the hour" argues that by enslaving people who hold "deviant" religious beliefs, ISIS has restored an aspect of Islamic sharia law to its original meaning.
